The Bulgarian Group for Development of the Psychoanalytical Practice
has been formed several years ago as an informal organization of psychiatrists, psychologists, and practicing psychotherapists, dedicated to promote psychoanalytic ideas and to establish a basis for the proper training of analysts. Among many other activities of this group, relations have been established with the Han Groen Prakken Psychoanalytic Institute for Eastern Europe, The European Psychoanalytical Federation and trough these institutions with The International Psychoanalytic Association. There is a continuous collaboration with the Paris Psychoanalytical Society (especially Dr. Lucas who has been coming couple of times each year for a seminar and supervision of cases); Special agreement for ongoing psychoanalytic seminars and supervissions has been worked out with the Italian Psychoanalytical Society. The Group for Development of Psychoanalytic Practice consists of some 20 members. The general committee includes: Emilia Alexieva (Assoc. Prof.,Ph.D), Daniela Alexieva (MD), Krasimir Taouchanov (Clin.Psych.,Psychoanalyst), Nikola Atanassov (Assoc. Prof.,Ph.D), Dimo Stanchev (MD), Roumiana Krumova (MPsych.)
